End of School Year/Summer Rental Extensions

At the end of the school year, the renter can return the instrument, extend the rental over the summer, or apply the fees of their rental towards the purchase of the instrument they are renting. You can extend your rental over the phone at 301-946-8808. Give us a call and avoid the traffic jam that forms in our store during rental season!

In order to apply the rental fees to a purchase, the purchase has to be made during or immediately following the school year. If you return the instrument at the end of the school year and choose not to make a purchase at that time, you can not apply their rental fees towards a purchase at a later date.

School Year Rental Information

The list below shows the rates for renting a used instrument for the entire school year, and rates for renting a new instrument for the entire school year. The security deposit is the amount to the right of the “/”, which is required for all rentals. All rental fees, including the security deposit, are to be paid in full at the time of the rental.

In order to rent an instrument from Washington Music Center, the renter will need the following information with them at the time of the rental:

The rental price includes standard repairs, done at our repair facility here at the store. We will do standard defect and normal wear and tear repairs at no charge as part of the rental. Damage caused by misuse or mishandling of the instrument is the responsibility of the parent.

The rental instrument comes with standard needed items like mouthpieces, mouthpiece caps, cork grease or valve/slide oil, clarinet swabs. Reed instruments include 2 reeds (except for Oboes, which come with 1 reed)

The list below is for those renting for the first time with Chuck Levin's. For renewing or extending your rental agreement, please refer to the rates listed above.
